Fresh-baked Breads are this week’s Fresh Pick of the Week from the Certified Farmers’ Market. L’Artisan Valley Baking Company, located in Thousand Palms, brings a variety of fresh hand-made artisan breads to the Certified Farmers’ Markets each and every week, much to the delight of their many satisfied customers.
L’Artisan Valley Baking Company is a small locally-owned Artisan bakery. That means you’ll only get consistently delicious hand-crafted breads made by bakers who are true craftspeople; trained in both the art and the science of baking bread. Choose from San Francisco Style Sourdough, French baguettes or country loaves, Challah, Ciabatta, Levain, Semolina, Brioche, and more. You’ll also fins a wide selection of freshly made pastries, muffins, and croissants. But arrive early. These breads go quickly, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
L’Artisan Valley Baking Company was founded in 2003 with one goal in mind: to make great breads the old fashioned way, and make them available to local restaurants and consumers. We’re glad they succeeded.
Did you know: Bread is one of the oldest prepared foods, dating back to the Neolithic era, and probably first prepared in even earlier prehistoric times. Basic bread is prepared by baking a dough that is made of flour and water. Salt, fat and leavening agents such as yeast and baking soda are common added ingredients. Bread can also contain a variety of other ingredients, including milk, eggs, sugar, spices, dried fruits, vegetables, nuts and/or seeds.

- On Saturdays in Palm Springs, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, adjacent to the Camelot Theatres in the Palm Springs Mall parking lot at 2300 E. Baristo Road at Farrell.
- On Saturdays in Coachella, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at 1515 Sixth Street in front of City Hall.
- On Sundays in Old Town La Quinta, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, at 78100 Main Street, just a few blocks west of La Quinta City Hall off Calle Tampico.
- On Wednesdays in Palm Desert, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, at the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce, 72-567 Highway 111.
