Fresh berries from Ruby Farms are this week’s Fresh Pick of the Week from the Certified Farmers’ Market. Ruby Farms, the latest addition to the line-up of California farms selling produce at the Certified Farmers’ Market, grows a variety of berries at their farm in the Santa Maria Valley. They are currently offering red raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.
Fresh and delicious, these California-grown berries are particularly tasty, and a great Fall treat. Eat them right out of the container, use them in a favorite Holiday recipe, or use them to make jellies and jams to give as holiday gifts. No matter how you choose to use them, you’re sure to enjoy California’s Fall berry crop from Ruby Farms.
DID YOU KNOW: Berries come in bright colors to help animals find them, eat them, and disperse their seeds, but the natural plant pigments that give berries their colors are also powerful antioxidants that offer a great variety of health benefits.
